De Kromme Haring x Papis Comfort Kitchen We are extremely proud to have teamed up with Papis Comfort Kitchen for their new hang-out! These Good Food Dudes are Utrecht's best kept secret, serving the tastiest comfort food in our lovely town. To celebrate our partnership we brewed Papi Pils. This Italian lager is a crisp bottom fermented beer with the dry hop with old-world hops adding character and comfort. Smash, don't pass.

Peach Cobbler AF is loaded with juicy peaches, blending sweet and tart fruit notes with warming cinnamon. It’s our take on a peach pie pastry sour with all the flavour and no alcohol, leaving you feeling peachy and hangover free.

Alcoholvrij fruitbier. Friszuur, lichtzoet en een rijke smaak van roodfruit. Geserveerd met ijsblokjes, limoen en munt.

Averbode is een blond abdijbier dat gedryhopped is en met nagisting op fles.Het heeft een goudgele kleur met een fijne schuimkraag. Met geurige aroma's van bloemen, groene appels, zoetigheid en hop. Door de vier soorten hop komt er een hoppige smaak naar voren. Het palet is volmondig, moutzoetig en met een aangenaam hopkarakter. De afdronk is fris, vol en bitter.

Deep blonde in colour, Barbãr’s creamy head gives off a powerful aroma, unobtrusively scented with honey and accompanied by a bouquet of floral, spicy and citrus notes. The use of soft wheat gives a rounded attack, without heaviness. The sugar provided by the honey during the wort boiling undergoes fermentation and is converted into alcohol. Consequently, this is a soft but not sweet beer, with a touch of acidity which gives it freshness. The finish is full of finesse and without a bitter aftertaste. An original and distinctive beer whose distant origins go back to the “cervoise” brewed by our ancestors who called it “Warrior’s rest”.

Strong, Blond, Belgian. 8.5% Vol. CORNET is a blond Belgian beer with a unique taste: powerful yet soft, thanks to the addition of oak wood chips during the brewing process.

The allusion to pink elephants and the choice of names is not due to chance. With a particular character, the unique taste results from triple fermentation and the use of three different yeast strains. Sweet, biscuit malt backbone, supported by pleasant warmth and spice, finishes well rounded, floral, and dry. Color and Sight: Pale blond, the fine and regular sparkle creates a nice, stable foam head. Scent: Slightly malty, heavy touch of alcohol, spicy. Taste: A good shot of alcohol ignites in the mouth, as it were, which really warms the tongue and palate. The taste is also characterized by its roundness. The finish is strong, long and dry bitter.

Duvel is a natural beer with a subtle bitterness, a refined flavour and a distinctive hop character. The unique brewing process, which takes about 90 days, guarantees a pure character, delicate effervescence and a pleasant sweet taste of alcohol. Apart from pure spring water, which is the main ingredient of beer, barley is the most important raw material. Barley must germinate for five days in the malt house, after which malt remains. The colour of the malt and as a consequence also of the beer is determined by the temperature. Duvel obtains its typical bitterness by adding various varieties of aromatic Slovenian and Czech hops. We use only exclusive hops that are renowned for their constant, outstanding quality. Duvel ferments for the first time in tanks at 20 to 26°C. The brewer uses his own culture for this. The original yeast strain, which Victor Moortgat himself selected in the 1920’s, originates from Scotland. After maturing in storage tanks in which the beer is cooled down to -2°C, the drink is ready for bottling. Thanks to the addition of extra sugars and yeast, the beer ferments again in the bottle. This occurs in warm cellars (24°C) and takes two weeks. Then the beer is moved to cold cellars, where it continues to mature and stabilise for a further six weeks. This extra long maturation period is unique and contributes to the refined flavour and pure taste of Duvel.

Brewery Het Anker decided to brew an easy drinkable city beer for the Mechelenians, still peppy enough in order to enjoy it to the fullest. We brew a heroic beer called Maneblusser. It’s a blond beer with an alcohol percentage of 6.2% vol. in which you can taste a subtle citrus aroma and a fine finish. Maneblusser is brewed according to the traditional method of high fermentation with refermentation in the bottle. The inspiration for this brew originates in the night of January 27th in the year 1687. The moon projected its reddish glow on Saint Rumbold’s tower, which was wrapped in a dense fog. “Fire, fire, the tower is on fire!” shouts the dreary voice of a drunken man. The alarm was sounded and people were making haste to help extinguish the so-called fire. Before the tower was reached, the moon slowly moved through the fog. From that moment on, the Mechelenians are called the Maneblussers or “Moonextinguishers”.

WE LOVE DUBBEL! So, we needed to brew one. Honoring a (controversial) tradition from Brabant and Belgium, our ‘Dubbel’ gets a tiny splash of “grenadine” — but to stay true to our craft roots, we use only 100% pure blackberry juice and maple syrup to complement the softness of oats, rye, and wheat.

Corsendonk Pater Dubbel is a soft and top-fermented dark beer, refermented and aged in bottle to a lively sparkling beer with rich foam. This beer has caramelized malt on the nose with hints of ripe fruit. Mild on the palate with wellbalanced bitterness, hints of fruit, toasted bread, liquorice, coffee and caramel.

De Gouverneur Dubbel is een ongefilterd fluweelzacht en bitterzoet bier met karakter. Het gebruik van Tettnangerhop en gebrande karamelkleurige mout zorgt voor een diepe robijnrode kleur en unieke volle smaak. Just like her, this Black IPA blends precision and character: smooth caramel malts and subtle roast cut with the sharp edge of Citra hops. Expect zesty lime, grapefruit and a touch of tropical fruit, finishing crisp and refreshing. Dark, bold, yet clean. Clean Cut proves you don’t need a scalpel to make your mark.

6.3% Northern IPA - Wacht even, huh, nog een nieuwe IPA stijl? Northern IPA's hebben de zuiverheid en drinkbaarheid van een West Coast IPA, een droge en stevige bitterheid en een helder uiterlijk, terwijl ze profiteren van het moderne gistkarakter van de East Coast-stijlen. Lange tijd waren brouwers bang voor het gistkarakter. Dankzij al dit nieuwe gistonderzoek begon de IPA-brouwerswereld gist weer te omarmen. Gist is en blijft de ziel van bier. DON'T MENTION THE YEAST is dus een Northern IPA geworden van 6,3%, gebrouwen met NZ Cascade, Columbus en Motueka. 6.3% Northern IPA - A while ago we teamed up with Lallemand to test one of their new yeast strains called Aurora. This one is specially developed to brew Northern IPA's. What a pleasure to work with it, fast fermenting, wide temperature range and beautiful expression of the hop character. Wait, what, another new type of IPA?.... Northern IPA's have the clean, drinkability of a West Coast IPA, a dry and firm bitterness and a clear appearance while they benefit from the modern yeast character of the East coast styles. For long yeast character was something brewers were afraid of. Thanks to all this new yeast research, the IPA brewers world started embracing yeast again. Yeast is and always has been the soul of a beer. This Northern IPA of 6.3% is brewed with NZ Cascade, Columbus and Motueka.

Single-hop IPA with Mosaic only. Brewed with extra pale to let the hops shine wonderfully, and plenty of oats for smoothness. Lingering in the golden gleam-life, the perfect balance between hops and malts, what is it but a dream?

Gouden Carolus Hopsinjoor completes the taste pallet of our Carolus beers. “Hopsinjoor” derived from “Opsinjoor”, the typical character of Mechelen and also because of the use of 5 different kinds of hops. These hops are fractioned at a different time during the cooking process in order to conserve a maximum of aroma. Concerning the taste, the Ale has a gentle taste with a slightly bitter finish. Gouden Carolus Hopsinjoor was launched in 2008 on the Zythos Beer Festival and hit the mark: the visitors elected it as best beer, bringing Het Anker “The Consumer’s trophy Zythos Beer Festival 2008”. The beer is bottled unfiltered in order to preserve the bitterness of the hop as much as possible.

Gave smaken maken is het mooiste aan het brouwen van bier. Toch jammer als de zorgvuldig uitgedachte smoked IPA uiteindelijk een niet-zo-smoked IPA blijkt te zijn. Gelukkig was daar de groene verlosser, onze hop in bange dagen. Gewapend met rookpan en een goede hand eikensnippers hebben we een berg citra voorzien van de broodnodige rooksmaak en -aroma, die via de dry-hop in het bier terecht zijn gekomen. Zo zie je maar: hop goed, al goed.

Jopen Northsea IPA is an IPA (India Pale Ale) or, in old Dutch, a ‘Duraebel Scheepsbier’. These beers were extra strongly brewed and extra hopped so that they could be taken along on the long sea voyages to the Dutch East Indies (current-day Indonesia). Nowadays this type of beer is making a comeback because American brewers have breathed new life into this brewing style. This hoppy amber beer is named after the lake between the towns of Spaarndam and Haarlem, the Mooie Nel (literally: Beautiful Nel). The beer has received an extra hop addition to the tank after fermentation to give it a clear hop character. Silver medal winner Brussels beer Challenge 2014.

Gluten-free single hop Citra IPA There's no biz, like showbiz. A super-nice single hop citra IPA from the MAD SCIENTIST core range that can easily be enjoyed even if you don't have any intolerancies. Crispy. Refreshing. Forget about the gluten, here comes the sun!

Gouden Carolus Ambrio is aromatically brewed according to the ancient recipe of the Mechelschen Bruynen. Ambrio is an 'amber' ale brewed with 'brio'. This white beer of high fermentation finds its origin in the traditional beer of the city of Mechelen. As each city had its own typical beer, the Mechelenians drunk their amber beer: "Mechelschen Bruynen" for hundreds of years. Our brewery is the only brewery that still brews this type of beer. According to the tradition the basic recipe of this beer dates from 1421 and is therefore the oldest beer from the brewery. The current version is slightly heavier than the original and finer hopped. The balance between the different malts, the fine hops and typical aromas with herbs ensure that this beer combines the whole-hearted nature of brown beers with the freshness of blonde beers. This flavored and spicy light brown tasting beer should be served fairly fresh. Refermentation in the bottle.

Gouden Carolus Classic, the ‘Grand Imperial Beer’ from Mechelen, is brewed with dark, very balanced dosed caramel and aromatic malts. A Northern German (Friesian) Pilsener that is characteristic of the style. It is a little more hoppy than Czech pilseners giving it a more bitter ("herb" in German) flavour.

The Kaapse Ludwig is a 6,0% Octoberfest Lager (Festbier) brewed with six different types of barleymalt, modern Callista hops and a special lager yeaststrain from Munich. It is named after King Ludwig the 1st of Bavaria. His marriage to Theresia in 1810 is still celebrated in Munich every year as Oktoberfest.

Theresia. A Smoked Munich Helles. Helles lager is Czech Pilsners cousin from Southern Germany. Bright Pale Golden, Malty Smooth upfront and super crisp and dry in the finish. Theresia has an added subtle smokey twist.

Released March 24th 1979 Overkill is the second studio album Motörhead released in 1979 and was listed among the 100 Greatest Heavy Metal Albums of All Time. It's a ferocious, ear-jarring and eye-watering album, perfectly showcasing Motörhead's trademark style of dirty no holds barred rock’n’roll delivered with a punk snarl and raw heavy metal attitude that forces itself into your mind, body and soul. Overkill Pilsner was crafted with this in mind. Based on a Czech pilsner style with the late hop addition of Loral hops which add a gentle fruity taste to its solid malty backbone. Crisp, clean and very refreshing but with a little bite!

After a successful first collaboration with Brouwerij Lost, we're doing it again, but this time as a thick stout. Ready to Crumble is a liquid Kirsch-Streuselkuchen: rich chocolate, creamy vanilla, Amarena cherry, almond and crumbly biscuit. Every sip is a dessert in your glass, full-bodied, sweet and fruity.

Sinds 2018 organiseert de Facebook-groep Beer Geeks de ‘Beer Geeks Beat ALS’ actie om zoveel mogelijk geld op te halen voor Stichting ALS. In al die jaren is er ruim 450.000 euro opgehaald. Een geweldige prestatie verwezenlijkt door de samenkomst van de gehele bierwereld. Dit is het bier van de 2024-2025 editie. Nog steeds nodig omdat de puzzel nog niet is opgelost, hoewel de puzzelstukjes van het onderzoek steeds meer in elkaar vallen. Swiss Peaks is our tribute to everyone’s favourite mountainous chocolate. This decadent imperial stout combines a layered bill of chocolate, pale and amber malts with smooth oats, cacao nibs and a touch of soft honey. It finishes with a gentle dusting of almond flavours, like fresh snow settling on a Swiss alpine peak.

Gouden Carolus Cuvée van de Keizer Imperial Dark was enriched by an infusion of Gouden Carolus Single Malt whisky. The result is a unique beer: powerful and full-bodied, with subtle touches of vanilla, oak and chocolate. An imperial brew to cherish and enjoy in moderation.

Gulpener IJsbock dankt zijn naam aan de brouwtechniek waarbij het brouwsel, na vergisting, wordt gekoeld tot -20 graden Celsius. Hierdoor bevriest een deel van het water en worden de alcohol en aroma componenten geconcentreerd. Met als resultaat een intens krachtig bier met een verrassend volle smaakbeleving, tonen van karamel en de typische bitterheid van onze eigen hop. Drink temperatuur 8-10 graden celcius.

FORMERLY KNOWN AS CUVÉE DU CHÂTEAU Kasteel Cuvée has a flavour similar to a ten-year old Kasteel Donker. Roasted and caramelised malts give the beer a soft, full taste with fruity notes reminiscent of port or madeira. The aftertaste is marked by a subtle hop bitterness. The flavour palette lends itself perfectly to food pairing with beer. Very tasty with game or cheese!

Straffe Hendrik Quadrupel, launched in 2010, is an intense beer, dark in colour and full in taste. The aroma is elegant, spicy and slightly roasted. The sophisticated blend of special kinds of malt give the beer a complex character, combining a delicate dryness with hints of coriander, dark fruits, anise and roasted chestnuts. The palate finishes in a syrupy taste. The refermentation in the bottle creates a living beer that will evolve over the years. Saison Dupont is a world classic beer and the yardstick for one of Belgium’s most important beer styles. It is the most admired AND imitated Saison in the world. A strong, vital yeast is key to full attenuation and thus to the style. Saison Dupont is straw colored with a dense creamy head. The nose is alive, like fresh raised bread, estery with citrus and spice notes. Full-bodied and malty, it sparkles on the palate and finishes with a zesty hop and citrus attack. Incredibly compatible with food!

Named Cinq Cents in 75 cl (25.4 fl.oz.) bottles, this beer, with its typical golden color, slightly hazy appearance and fine head, is especially characterized by its aroma which results from an agreeable combination of fresh hops and yeast. It was first brewed by the monks of Chimay at Scourmont Abbey in 1966. Above all it is the fruity notes of muscat and raisins that give this beer a particularly attractive aroma.

Brewed from very similar ingredients as the Première but paler and spiced with coriander. It was intended only to be consumed by the abbey monks or at the nearby inn Auberge de Poteaupré, which is associated with the abbey. The Dorée is now widely available to consumers and can is enjoyable as as a refreshing dessert beer, because it is lower in alcohol content than the rest of the Chimay family ales.

First sold in 75 cl (25.4 fl.oz.) bottles, it is noted for its copper color and as the first beer brewed by the monks of Chimay in 1862. Topped with a creamy head, it gives off a light, fruity apricot aroma produced by the fermentation. The taste perceived in the mouth is a balance confirming the fruity nuances noticed in the fragrance. Its taste, which imparts a silky sensation to the tongue, is made refreshing by a light touch of bitterness. To the palate, the taster perceives a pleasant astringency which complements the flavor qualities of this beer very harmoniously. This top-fermented Trappist beer, re fermented in the bottle, is not pasteurized.

Amber-coloured Trappist ale with a broken white head. A lovely combination of herbal, floral and fruity aromas. La Trappe Isid’or was first brewed in 2009 on the occasion of the 125th anniversary of The Koningshoeven Brewery. The harmonious taste starts off fruity and shifts to malty caramel. A perfectly balanced ale. The ale is named after Brother Isidorus, the abbey's first brewer. The aftertaste is pleasantly bitter.

A light-blond, organic, top-fermented Trappist ale with a sturdy collar. The aroma is characterised by the refreshing and fruity aromas of the yeast, combined with the flowery scent of citrus caused by the hops. Only organic ingredients were used when brewing this Skal-certified ale. The result is an accessible, refreshing and smooth Trappist ale with a pleasant bitterness and a mild, dry finish.

A characteristically Trappist ale with a warm amber colour and a cream-coloured head. The aroma is associated with clover and nuts, balanced by the sweet aromas of vanilla, raisins and banana. La Trappe Quadrupel is the heaviest of all the La Trappe Trappist ales and it is also the source for the name of this style. A full, heart-warming and intense taste. Malty with sweet tones of dates and caramel. The aftertaste is smooth and slightly bitter.

A golden blonde Trappist ale with a white head. Fruity aromas of peach and apricot combined with a floral aroma. La Trappe Tripel is a classic Trappist ale with a powerful and full flavour. In addition, this ale has a candy-sweet and light malty character. The aftertaste is bitter and slightly dry.

Light-blonde, cloudy with a firm and long-lasting head. The aroma is slightly sour and refreshing due to the use of wheat malt combined with a floral and fruity (citrus, peach, apricot) hop aroma. The flavour is smooth, malty, lightly sour with a tingling sensation due to the carbonation. The aftertaste is bitter and dry. A consistently drinkable, refreshing thirst quencher.

NOTE: The ABV-value of this beer varies, in the United States 6.9% is used. The Orval’s brewery produces only one beer to sell, a beer with a high fermentation that continues in the bottle. It is 6.2% ABV. This beer is brewed exclusively from spring water, barley malt, hop cones, candy sugar, and yeast. The aroma and the fine taste are due more to the hop cones and the yeast than to the malt that is used. What’s special about Orval’s beer is that hops are added at two different stages of the production process. First, in the brewing room, a large quantity of very fine hops are added – this produces the famous bitter taste and is the reason why the beer keeps for a longer period of time. Later, in the storage cellars, hops are once again added. This is the so-called British “dry hopping,” which produces the delightful aroma that completely enraptures even the most carefully forewarned taster. In the tasting room, Orval’s beer and cheese make a really good pair: the unique shape of the bottle and the glass, the design of the label, the coasters and other publicity materials – it’s all a legacy from the early 1930’s.

Trappist beers tend to be named after the place in which the monastery is situated. We’ve called ours ‘Tynt Meadow’, to honour the link with the plot of land on which monastic life was refounded here in the Midlands almost two centuries ago. Being part of the great Trappist tradition, we’ve chosen to produce a strong dark ale, but one with a clearly English character. Tynt Meadow is mahogany-coloured, with a subtle, warm red hue, and a lasting beige head. Its aroma carries hints of dark chocolate, liquorice, and rich fruit flavours. The beer is full-bodied, gently balancing the taste of dark chocolate, pepper, and fig. It leaves a warm and dry finish on the palate.

Zundert 10 Trappist is een quadrupel met een licht kruidige toets die onze bieren kenmerkt. Dit trappistenbier is diep roodbruin van kleur, met een mooie, licht beige, schuimkraag. De geur geeft hints van gedroogde zuidvruchten, zwoele kruiden, drop en een beetje chocolade. De smaak is vol en zacht, in balans gebracht door een mooie hopbitterheid. In de nasmaak keert de Zundertse kruidigheid subtiel terug.

Zundert Trappist is een kastanjekleurig bovengistend bier met nagisting op fles. Het bevat 8% alcohol. We hebben gekozen voor een bier dat we ‘een beetje weerbarstig’ noemen. Dat wil zeggen, Zundert Trappist is een bier dat je de tijd moet geven om daadwerkelijk te doorgronden. Ons trappistenbier heeft een veelbelovende geur met een zweem van kruiden en specerijen. In de aanzet is Zundert Trappist bloemig en iets zoet. Geef het bier wat tijd en het karakter evolueert van licht karamel naar een mooie en droge hopbitterheid. In de lange afdronk vloeien de bitters samen met een aangename kruidigheid op de achtergrond.

Bruuzer is het Tessels dialect voor Wildebras. Uit de koperen ketels van de enige brouwfamilie die Texel rijk is komt een onstuimig en krachtig bier van hoge gisting de “Tesselaar Bruuzer” Een Tripel van 9% alcohol met een blonde gloed van de Dageraad, een hopbyte van een selectie prachtige hopbloemen geven dit zware bier van hoge gisting een prachtige hopbitter in de afdronk met een zoete zweem van tropisch fruit. De brouwersfamilie vergadert iedere dag aan de eettafel en besloot einde van het jaar 2020 nog een krachtig en onstuimig bier van hoge gisting te brouwen. Een type Tripel welke goed bij de maaltijd past maar ook een smaakvolle afronding is van de dag.

Corsendonk Agnus Tripel is a spicy top-fermented blond beer, also refermented in the bottle and matured into a lively sparkling beer with a spicy bouquet and hopped aftertaste.

Straffe Hendrik is a Bitter Tripel Ale of 9% abv. The beer was originally from Bruges and brewed in Bruges by brewery De Halve Maan. In 1981, Henri Maes and his daughter Véronique followed the demand of the mayor and created a strong blond beer for the inauguration of the statue of Sint-Arnoldus, the saint of all beer-brewers. However, the beer became so popular, that the demand for the beer continued. It was given the name of Straffe Hendrik (Strong Hendrick), since it was a rich and strong beer. Today, Straffe Hendrik is the last authentic Tripel Ale of Bruges.

Bon Secours Noël is a BLOND ALE with a light golden hue. It impresses with its traces of CITRUS FRUITS, such as grapefruit and orange, and tinges of spiciness resulting from the presence of coriander and a hint of pepper. The Magnum hop, which is added in whole-leaf form at the end of the boiling process, lends a slightly bitter, yet lasting, aftertaste.

Circus Winter Ale offers a rich and complex flavour palette of various spices along with a pleasant touch of gingerbread. Subtle hints of dried fruits provide a balanced sweetness and freshness, while a moderate hop bitterness creates a harmonious balance.

A full-bodied, Amsterdam wheat beer that is dangerously ‘moreish’. Slightly cloudy, it has a beautiful golden colour and a soft, foamy head. When we brew IJwit, we use wheat malt as well as barley malt, which is also how the beer gets its name. The wheat malt gives the beer a delightful, fresh flavour, and the addition of coriander and lemon during the brewing process produces a rich aroma of banana, citrus and spices. Topped off by a fine, slightly sweet aftertaste, IJwit is a delicious thirst-quencher.

Hoppy Weizen

Our dark wheat beer is impressive with its creamy white foam. A fruity-fresh sweetness and hints of mature bananas harmonise with delicious flavours of roasted malt, sparkling and full-bodied with a light caramel taste on the first sip. An excellent accompaniment from hearty meals and game to chocolate and nut desserts. Brewed according to our centuries-old brewing tradition on the Weihenstephan hill.

Rodenbach Alexander is a blend of 2/3rd aged Rodenbach (2 year matured beer from oak standing Foeders) and 1/3rd young ale, then macerated with sour cherries.

Les Bons Vœux means "best wishes", which is what Brasserie Dupont sends with this very special saison ale brewed for the holidays. Redolently aromatic, rich and velvety. Rich gold color, fragrant (lemony with hints of pepper, banana and clove), as all the beers of Dupont are with a full, deep malt richness that lingers on your tongue for what seems the whole holiday season. Considered by some the finest offering from this unparalleled Brewery. “The best Belgian beer, if ever there could be such an award...a sumptuous, seductive 9.5% beer. Because of its intensity, I would recommend the novice graduate to this beer. Sherry-like sweetness meets red-wine complexity, swirling from sweet into sour and back again. Mixed fermentation lets wild yeasts stir things up even more. A juicy-sweet sour inspired by a classic chewy favourite. Bursting with bold raspberry and blackcurrant, backed by a medley of citrus fruit flavours, this session sour is one your gums won’t whine about.

This decadent dessert sour combines juicy Scottish strawberries with the rich, luxurious taste of creamy chocolate. Inspired by indulgent profiteroles drizzled in strawberry syrup, it’s smooth, sweet, and delightfully over the top.

Duchesse de Bourgogne from Brouwerij Verhaeghe is the traditional Flemish red ale. This refreshing ale is matured in oak casks; smooth with a rich texture and interplay of passion fruit, and chocolate, and a long, dry and acidic finish. After the first and secondary fermentation, the beer goes for maturation into the oak barrels for 18 months. The final product is a blend of younger 8 months old beer with 18 months old beer. The average age of the Duchesse de Bourgogne before being bottled is 12 months.

Lambic is one of the world's oldest beers. According to some, it is also the best, even if its characteristic acidity does not please all palates. To offset this acidity, some decided to add sugar to it. Thus faro was born. Adding sugar syrup to lambic was a revelation at the time of Bruegel. (Some even argue that without faro, Bruegel would have been deprived of inspiration and would have remained an ordinary amateur painter whose canvases couldn't even have been sold at a flea market.) Until the 19th century, faro was very prevalent in the Brussels region. Folklore there was frequently associated with it, and the divine liquid flowed like water. Then faro fell into oblivion. It was not until 1978 that our family brought it back to centre stage. Or centre Senne, as you prefer. Particularly appreciated after physical exertion, faro is not only easy to drink, it is a joy to do so.

A hybrid of a Russian Imperial Stout and an Oud Bruin. Opposites attract. This sweet sour marriage combines the viscosity and robustness of a Russian Imperial Stout with the winy delicacy of our flemish red ale. Tasting this beer is like a Sovjet bombardment on your senses that throws you from Moscow to Modena and back, to find balanced somewhere in the middle. The aroma reveals chocolate, rains and Syrup de Liège, with a sense of port wine. The thick, sweet start creates the expectations of an antitussive that pampers the throat. The tantalizing sourness when you swallow, though, crushes that expectation immediately, so you have to start all over again. Comrades, unite and drink this oil of brotherhood!

4 Jaar hebben we op deze Lambiek moeten wachten, maar het was het wachten waard! Wauwie, wat een topper dit zeg! Vol zuur, nog hier en daar wat zachtheid omdat ie nog maar net op fles staat en een miniscuul bittertje door de gebruikte hop.

Blonde Flemish Sour Ale, gerijpt op Foeder, gemacereerd met krieken en frambozen. Door echt fruit toe te voegen aan onze Omega, verkrijgen we een heerlijk fris zuur fruitbier. AaBy adding real fruit to our Omega, we obtain a deliciously sour fruit beer. Aangezien fruit seizoensgebonden is, beperken we de verkoop tot enkele maanden per jaar.

Oude Geuze Boon is a monument of taste with an alcohol content of 7%. It’s a magnificent blend of 90% mild 18 month-old lambic, 5% strong 3 year-old beer and 5% very young lambic, which provides fermentable sugars and wild yeasts. All our beers are aged in oak casks, mixed in a vessel of 25,000 litres and chilled. Before bottling, we bring the mix to fermentation temperature. The bottles are then placed in an air-conditioned room, which leads to a secondary fermentation in the bottle. This is when the lambic becomes gueuze. After several months of aging in the bottle, the gueuze develops its delicate flavour. Want to know the bottling date? Simply subtract 20 years from the “best before” date! Taste carefully and you will uncover a fruity grapefruit and ginger flavour with a hint of Muscat grapes. You’ll be pleasantly surprised by the wholehearted body and the sublime finish – an explosion of Germanic and Romance cultures.

The third instalment of our Overnight Oats series was brewed with our pals at Long Live Beerworks, combining a creamy oat base, jammy fruit character, silky chocolate, maple syrup sweetness and subtle, roasted coffee using House Party blend from Hard Lines. Full-bodied, moreish and layered with juicy raspberry, blueberry and pomegranate, it’s enough to get you excited for an early start!

No April fool here, this is the first gueuze in a can ever! Can-conditioned at 100%. A few kegs were also produced. This PETITE GUEUZE TILQUIN is a blend of 70% 1-year-old light Meerts and 30% 2-year-old lambics, all spontaneously fermented and matured in oak barrels. Unfiltered and unpasteurized, this beer was given 2 months to spontaneously refermented in the can. It will surely keep evolving but its ready to drink, super refreshing, ideal for the coming summer ! It was canned with the help of our friends from Brasserie Minne (Somme-Leuze). 12.450 cans were produced.

RODENBACH is the unique & original “Flanders Red Ale”, recognised as a traditional local product. Mixed main fermentation and maturation in oak casks (“foeders”) give it the same sweet-sour flavour and complex fruitiness as wine. RODENBACH consists of 3/4 young beer and 1/4 beer matured two years in oak. It's is highly refreshing and appetising: the perfect apéritif or session ale! Since 1821.

This is an aged Belgian red ale, which is ‘ripened quietly in oak barrels for two years’, according to the label. It has an extremely pungent aroma of rich grapey fruit, with acidic notes, very much like a slightly sour red wine or possibly a gueuze. In the mouth it is slightly sweet, extremely acidic and fruity, with grapes and even cherries discernible, and very lively. Despite the sweetness it is not at all cloying, even thin, with little or no trace of malt. Finish is sharp and fruity.

Lambicus Faro is a historical Brussels beer. Candy sugar is delicately added to a traditional barrel-aged lambic, giving a sweeter note with apples aromas.

Originally called "Ouden Tripel", this ancient West Flanders Brown beer has found a new élan as a regional specialty under its current name: "VanderGhinste Roodbruin". The main ingredients of our Vanderghinste Oud Bruin are malted barley, wheat, hops, water, and caramelized malts. These are used to brew a top-fermented beer. Blending this beer with lambic beer aged in oak for 18 months results in this specific West Flanders Brown beer. Its typical flavour is characterized by a well-balanced, hardly noticeable sourness. This first flavour impression is soon followed by a second pleasant discovery: a slight bitterness followed by a hint of sweetness.

Lindemans Brewery proudly presents Gueuze Dark Cuvée René, an exclusive lambic blend in honor of the 85th birthday of René Lindemans, the 5th generation of our family brewery. The name "Dark" refers to the deep, dark color of the lambic that forms the base of this special Gueuze. Its unique color and flavorful character are the result of the use of roasted wheat and aging in 20-year-old oak cognac barrels, a nod to René's pioneering spirit. The flavor is a subtle balance between the fresh, sour complexity and the warm, elegant touch of cognac. The limited edition of only 20,000 bottles.

Fellowship 2024 Ale No 6 There lies, tucked in the heart of the Shire, a place where tales grow tall and mugs are never empty - The Green Dragon Inn. It is a name spoken with warmth, laughter, and the clink of well-worn tankards. Born of mixed fermentation and aged with the patience of old innkeepers, Phi was laid to rest in barrels of Wild Turkey Bourbon and Tawny Port, where time wove its magic. The sourness sings like a fiddler at dusk, lively and bright, while the barrel's kiss adds depth, warmth, and echoes of distant lands. Thus, the beer took on a name worthy of song: The Green Dragon Inn - a drink to rouse the heart, loosen the tongue, and remind all who sip it of home, hearth, and the road that ever goes on.

Sour braggot aged in Rum barrels for 40 months.

Traditional Duchesse de Bourgogne with Belgian cherries and chocolate essence added during the maturation process in oak casks (foeders). 20 kg of whole Belgian cherries are used in the production of each 100 liters of Chocolate Duchesse Cherry.

The appearance of this exceptional beer is matched only by its taste. Lindemans Framboise blends one-year-old lambic with delicious, ripe raspberries, providing a delicate fruity aroma, indulgent raspberry flavor and a beautiful dark pink colour.

Dark, heavy smoked beer For the creation of the Gulden Draak Smoked, we go back to the ancient tradition of malt drying: smoking malt. This resulted in a smoked touch of the malt which you afterwards also could find in the beer. This typical smoky taste was lost over the years because the malt drying techniques were made considerably more efficient. The use of smoked malt in combination with the specialty of Brewery Van Steenberge has a spectacular result: a heavy quality beer of high fermentation with a secondary fermentation in the bottle, baptized as Gulden Draak Smoked. Aromatic, light and delicate cider. On the nose it is fruity with hints of fermented overripe red apples, notes of stone fruit, like apricot, and some vanilla notes. On the pallet it is dry, well balanced, with beautiful structure and medium carbonation. Hints of red apple and vanilla notes. Playful acidity brings persistent and long afertaste.

Fresh, citrusy and seductive cider. The scent is fresh with pronounced notes of ginger, apple and citrus. Semi-dry to sweet taste, drinkable structure and fruit spices. Ideal cider for solo consumption or combination with cocktails.
